Since Liza is trying to pass as a 26 year-old, the show really focuses on staying relevant with what is happening in the world of social media. It is a show for all ages, but really focuses in on millennials and mentions Instagram, Twitter, hashtags, hooking up, etc. The show pokes fun at what is trending and what isn’t, and they do a really good job at it.

The Fashion

The creator of Younger is Darren Star, the same creator of Sex and the City. So, no wonder the fashion in this show is just as good. The wardrobe for each cast member is perfect and depending on your style, you’ll envy at least one costume every episode. You’ll just have to watch to see.

It focuses on the publishing industry

If you are a fan of reading, writing, or books this show is for you. A majority of the cast works in the publishing industry, so it is fun to look at what it takes to run one and what editors do daily. It focuses on the industry just enough so that even if you aren’t interested in books, you’ll still enjoy the story line. Plus after watching for just a few episodes, you’ll want to join the team at Empirical Publishing.

It is really funny

Younger is truly a show that will make you laugh out loud. The jokes, one-liners, and witty remarks from each character is guaranteed to make you laugh.

Charles

The man-candy in this show is one of the main reasons I turn on my television every Wednesday night. Charles is Liza’s boss who has a thing for her, but doesn’t know her real age. He is easy on the eyes and I could listen to his voice all day. #TeamCharles for the win please!

Josh

Josh is another man that is easy on the eyes. He is one of Liza’s love interests and knows her secret. Josh is actually the guy Liza meets at the bar in the first episode who thinks she is younger than she actually is. Any #TeamJosh fans out there?

The Friendships

Besides the hot and steamy relationships on the show, Liza and Kelsey’s friendship is one of the best. Liza met Kelsey at work and they quickly became besties after that. They are supportive, funny, and honest…well besides Liza not telling Kelsey her true age.

Diana Trout

Probably one of the best characters on the show is Diana. She is the head of marketing at the publishing company and is another one of Liza’s boss. Not only is she hysterical, rude, and crude, but her outfits and accessories are the best. There is no way you won’t love this character. I’m waiting for the day when Diana finds out about Liza, because I know they can be BFF’s.

It will have you saying #SquadGoals

Liza and Kelsey also have the best group of friends. They have each others backs, drink together, support one another, keep secrets, and find men for one another. They are true #SquadGoals.

Sutton Foster is perfect

Not only is Sutton Foster an amazing actress, but she is the perfect role for Liza Miller. Her youthful appearance as a 40-something is what everyone strives to look like when they are her age. Her character is what the entire show is about, and there is no better actress out there for it.

Now that you have all these really great reasons you better start binge-watching Younger right now. You can find all the past seasons on Hulu and watch the current epsiodes on TVLand.
