New Albums to Look Forward to in February
It’s hard to believe that February is already right around the corner. The shortest month of the year actually has a surprising number of highly anticipated albums in 2017. Check them out below.
Big Sean – I Decided
Big Sean kicks off a month of great music with his new album I Decided on February 3rd. This will be his 4th studio album. His first single, Bounce Back, was released back in October. His previous album, Dark Sky Paradise was released in 2015, with 350,000 albums sold in the United States and peaking #1 on the US charts.
Various Artists – Fifty Shades Darker Soundtrack
The soundtrack for Fifty Shades Darker is already being buzzed about due to Taylor Swift and Zayn Malik’s song, I Don’t Wanna Live Forever. The song is featured in the movie’s trailer, which is already extremely popular. If the popularity of the soundtrack for the first movie, Fifty Shades of Grey is any indication, this soundtrack will be a must-buy. The album is released on February 10th, the same day the movie comes out.
Ryan Adams – Prisoner
Ryan Adams isn’t one of the most popular or well-known artists, but those who do know him love him. This will be Ryan Adams’ first album in 3 years if you don’t include his track-by-track cover of Taylor Swift’s 1989. His music tends to fall into the rock category, so if you’re a fan of the genre and haven’t listened to him, we recommend checking out his new album on February 17th.
The country group has been making a name for themselves with hit after hit. One of their most notable songs in recent years was the controversial hit Girl Crush off the 2014 album Pain Killer. The lead single off The Breaker is Better Man, which was written by Taylor Swift. With the success of the single, they are bound to receive a lot of love when this album is released on February 24th.
