8 Ideas for a Great Valentine’s Date
Can you believe it’s already February? If 2016 goes by this fast, we better start working on finishing up our resolutions soon. So with it being February, there’s one “major” holiday upon us: Valentine’s Day. For some, it’s a day to celebrate our significant others and for others, binge watch Netflix and celebrate being “Forever Alone.” Even if you feel that way, spend time with your friends or family, and celebrate your love for each other. Valentine’s Day is meant for everyone, so whether you’re planning a date for your boyfriend or girlfriend or looking for something to do with your friends, here are some great ideas to help you plan for the perfect Valentine’s Date:
Dinner and a Movie | The classic “dinner and a movie” date never gets old. In fact, it’s probably one of the more popular, easy ideas. But to change it up, go out to eat somewhere you two (or more) have never been. Don’t go to your usual stomping grounds. Try something new together. Then, see a movie or watch one at home.
Order Sushi and Binge Watch Netflix | Okay, it doesn’t have to be sushi, but it’s only a suggestion. Order take out and find your favorite show on Netflix and binge watch it all night. Whether you’re alone, with a date, or with friends, this is a classic Valentine’s Day plan.
Ice Skating and then a Walk in the Park | Go ice skating. It’s not only romantic, it’s also fun! Even if you don’t know how to skate, give it a shot. Then, after falling a couple times on the ice, take a stroll through a nearby park (and find one with pretty lights).
Stay In and Play Video Games | Nothing says “I love you” more than trying to beat each other at a game of Grand Theft Auto or Call of Duty. Kick back, order some food, and go head to head in a rival match of each other’s favorite video games.
Go on a Lunch Date | Busy in the evening and can’t make plans to spend an evening date together? No worries. Take some time and go out on a lunch date at a local diner or bar. Valentine’s Day takes place on a Sunday this year, so you have all day for plans.
Embrace Karaoke Night | If you haven’t been to Karaoke Night at one of your local bars, you’re doing life wrong. Take a group of friends out or maybe some couples, find a karaoke bar, and sing to your heart’s content.
Take Her Shopping | She will love you forever if you take her shopping (even if it’s window shopping). And, to make the date even better, surprise her by buying something she really has her eye on.
Cook a Meal Together | Cooking together can be so much fun, whether you’re doing it as a couple or cooking together as a group of friends. Make some homemade pizza or pasta. If the homemade pizza idea has you interested, try a recipe from the Food Network.
Whatever you choose to do this Valentine’s Day, be sure to find something fun and new to do.
