10 Quotes to Celebrate the 20th Anniversary of “Clueless”

Yesterday marked the 20th Anniversary of the iconic 90s film, “Clueless.” The film stars Alicia Silverstone, Stacey Dash, Paul Rudd, and Brittany Murphy. The comedy film follows a couple of “perfect” girls set in Beverly Hills. Main character, Cher Horowitz, is a superficial, but seemingly nice girl who is attractive and wealthy. Naturally, despite Cher’s selfishness, she plays matchmaker for a couple of teachers and “donates her time” to helping the girl, Tai, with her look and manners.

The film was released 20 years ago this week, grossing $56 million in the United States and claiming a cult following thereafter. The ultimate premise of the film is about a realizing that even if you think you have it all together, you might still have plenty of growing up to do.

The exaggerated, over-the-top, comedy film is beloved by many, and still is two decades later. The iconic sayings throughout the film are unmatched, and certainly worth celebrating.

Yet another saying from Cher herself in the film that admits that even if we seem to “have it together,” there are times when everything can fall apart.

“If I’m too good for him, then how come I’m not with him?” – Tai
The one question that actually makes sense when a couple of girls tell you that you’re too good for him.\

“I had an overwhelming sense of ickiness.” – Cher
Yet another quote from perfect Cher that basically screams what falling in love is like.
