Oscars 2015 Best Dressed

The 87th Academy Awards was a success from the ever witty host Neil Patrick Harris, to the great films being celebrated, and of course the beautiful trail of expensive gowns and tuxedos on the red carpet and stage. As always the actors and actresses present donned amazing designers like Vera Wang and Calvin Klein. Here are some the best dressed celebs that graced the Oscars red carpet.

Emma Stone

Emma Stone Shows Some Major Leg at Oscars 2015Emma Stone looked beautiful in her yellow tone Elie Saab Haute Couture dress, Christian Louboutin shoes, Tiffany & Co jewelry, and a Lee Savage Clutch. Her dress complemented her light skin tone perfectly, while simultaneously working as a great contrast to her dark red hair. The large slit up the front of the dress and the completely open back made the dress sexy, while the long sleeves and length of the dress made the look classy overall. Her hair choice was a simple, 1920’s inspired sweep to the side and her makeup was on point by being simple, yet elegant. Emma was nominated for best supporting actress for her role in Birdman.

Oprah Winfrey

The gown fit Oprah’s curves perfectly and was sexy yet sweet with its plunging neckline and hand draped, silk tulle detailing. The rose color complemented Oprah’s perfect complexion and her dark curls were natural and classic. Paired with her gown, Oprah chose large rose colored, dangling earrings and a smokey eye to complete the elegant look.

Lupita Nyong’o

Lupita looked radiant in a white custom Calvin Klein Collection gown. The gown was created Francisco Costa and featured strands of 6,000 pearls and was paired with Chopard jewels. The white of the dress creates a beautiful contrast against  her dark skin and the detailing of the gown is wonderfully crafted. The fit and bodice flatter her frame perfectly and the gown shows just the right amount of skin with the keyhole  center and strappy back of the gown.

Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer also chose an Elie Saab gown, nude in color. The detailing on the dress is jaw dropping while still being subtle. The bodice and low cut front of the dress complement her body perfectly, and shows just the right amount of skin. The large skirt adds elegance and a whimsical feel to the gown. Her slicked back pony tail is chic and allows for the dress to be the main center of attention.
