Unbelievable Make-Up Hacks

I have never been up on my make-up game, one because I’m super lazy, two because I’m too poor to afford good quality make-up/tools, and three no one has ever officially taught me what to do with toners, highlighters, or whatever the heck contouring is. Here are some amazing tricks and tips I found when trying to finally improve my make-up skills and my overall look.

Winged Eyeliner

Place your eyeliner pen, liquid works best, at the outermost part of your nostril, angle it upwards to the outer edge of your eye. Lower the tip of your liner where it lands and draw down toward your lash line. Here is an informative tutorial if you need a visual.

Under Eye Bags

Use your staple red lipstick for another purpose, getting rid of your under eye bags. Simply apply a thin layer of lipstick under your eyes, using your finger or an eye shadow brush. Then smooth and blend it in, you’ll look like a zombie but that’s normal. Cover with your regular foundation and blend like you normally would and notice how your bags disappear.

Curling Your Eyelashes

Heating up your curler will make your lashes curl easier and stay curled. Use your hair dry and warm up your curler slightly (hold the curler against your wrist to make sure it’s not too hot) and curl your lashes like normal.

How to Fill Your Eyebrows Without Looking Like You Used a Sharpie

Use an eyebrow pencil, and only do small, light strokes over the thinner spots in your brows. Do NOT go over every inch of your brows or color too hard or dark. This will make your eyebrows look fake and way too noticeable.

Avoid Getting Lipstick on Your Teeth

After applying lipstick, blot, and then put your finger in your moth, close your lips around your finger and pull out. This will get rid of any excess lipstick that may have gotten on your inner lips, avoiding transferring it to your teeth unknowingly.

The Best Way to Cover Blemishes

Apply a layer of concealer, then brush with powder, add a second layer of concealer, blend, and then dust with powder once more for a flawless look.

Congrats, you now can say you actually know what you’re doing when it comes to applying your own make-up!
