10 Delicious Recipes for Christmas Eve Festivities

Christmas has a lot going for it, but for my family, Christmas Eve takes the cake (literally). It’s definitely the best foodie holiday in my house! If you’re hitting the kitchen tomorrow, check out these recipes to spice things up.

1. I’ve had plenty of Christmas Eve dinners where I don’t make it past the appetizers. This prosciutto wrapped fennel is a favorite.

Baked Clams Oreganata

2. Another delicious appetizer, these baked clams are far simpler than your guests will give you credit for.

3. I once took a cooking class at Murski Homestead down in Texas, and we made the most delicious pork tamales. I don’t have the original recipe, but this one is a close substitute.

4. I’ve never been a big Christmas ham person, but if you’re going to do it, go for this Apricot Spice glazed version. Yumm.

5. I really can’t stay away from appetizers! And I really can’t stay away from goat cheese. If you agree, check out this recipe.

6. Fish pie is a great option for Christmas Eve, and this recipe even makes the normally ugly dish look divine.

7. For a traditionalist, this mincemeat recipe is nostalgic perfection.

8. Of course, the best way to make a dinner come together is the perfect cocktail. I can’t wait to try a gingerbread martini.

Enchanted Forest Fruitcake

9. When it comes time for dessert, whip out this amazing sweet potato creme brulee. It’s the ultimate in sweet, sweet comfort food.

10. Or, for a more traditional dessert, spice up a fruitcake like so, and wait for the “oohs” and “aahs”.
